Feeding tube removal
OK, this really sucked. I called my doctor to set an appointment to get my feeding tube removed. I asked if it would be an outpatient procedure at the hospital. Oh no, they said, he does it right in his office. Strange... So I go to his office, and he has me remove my shirt and lay down on the table. No kidding now, he wraps the tube AROUND HIS FIST, and tells me to relax. Excuse me??????? Oh yeah, he's just going to pull it out!!!!! About this time, I'm beginning to think that it's not a bad idea to keep this thing in my stomach for awhile longer. He tells me it will take 14 POUNDS OF PRESSURE to pull it out. I wasn't sure how much pressure that was, but it sounded painful. He pulled that thing out and I almost lost my mind! I wanted to reach up and choke him out! It felt like I was punched in the stomach by Mike Tyson! Just to give you an idea, here are pictures of the hole that the tube was in, and the actual disc that held it in my stomach, that was actually pulled through that hole!!!!!!!!!!!!
